Judith Ardèvol has been passionate about astronomy since she was very young. She is currently a PhD student at the Institut d’Estudis Espacials de Catalunya – Institut de Ciències del Cosmos de la Universitat de Barcelona (IEEC-ICCUB), under the supervision of Teresa Antoja and Marcin Semczuk. She uses data from both observations and simulations to investigate the spiral arms of the Milky Way comparing stars with different ages. The objective is understanding the structure of our galaxy and its evolution.
In her time out, stars are always on her mind: what she loves the most is stargazing and doing astronomical outreach. Making people enjoy the wonders of the Universe is her priority.
